Ryan has Tetreault at #8 and Adam has him at #30, a country mile apart. Ryan obviously is familiar with this prospect. Adam, however needs to be educated when it comes to evaluating this prospect. Tetreault was one of the top starting pitchers for the 2017 Doubledays Short Season A team with 38 inn, 2.58 era, and 36 K’s. Tetreault’s first half of Full Season A was a bit rough and must be still stuck in Adam’s head. However, if he did his homework, he would have seen that Tetreault threw to about a 2.53 ERA the second half, was MILB pitcher of the week a few times, a top 3 second half pitcher in the SAL, Hagerstown’s team leader in K’s and earning a promotion to Potomac High A. As far as age goes, Adams says he’s older, but the Nationals have Tetreault at 1.2 years ahead of the age curve at High A. He also said in the podcast that Tetreault is still to skinny and still to raw at age 22 putting other arms ahead of him in the system based on this and future projection. Here we go again Adam. In Tetreault’s 2017 draft class there were I believe 17 Pitchers taken in the first round of which about 12 participated in Short Season and Rookie ball.
